Tu Eres La Medicina: Day Retreat for LAIPA & Xinachtli Leaders

Tu Eres La Medicina is an ofrenda created by Xinachtli Comadres Network Healers, Cihuatlatohki (Jefa) Laura Yohualtlahuiz and Maestra Irene Martinez Sanchez. This offering will lead participants through various healing and traditional medicine practices that have been passed down traditionally and created in community for deep connection and awakening of our Sacred Feminine through Indigenous Matriarchal kinship building. We will open our ceremonia with Cacao medicine invocating our healed and healthy Matriarchal lineages and guardians. After opening, Jefa Laura will guide us through a deep dive into the Florentine Codex, deciphering the stories documented about women and queers in the ancestral past and reimagining ourselves as their answered prayers through medicine making and community care. We will learn recipes for anointing oils and herbal teas as well as movement practices with the rebozo that awaken our sacred Indigenous sensuality for self and community healing.
