About the event
As part of our MMIWGR (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Relatives) campaign, the Xinachtli Comadres National Colectiva (XCNC) in partnership with KLBRI is hosting a Virtual Train-the-Trainer Workshop in Empowerment-Based Community Self-Defense.
This workshop is designed exclusively for Xinachtli Certified Facilitators who are ready to bring a healing-centered, culturally rooted self-defense curriculum into their círculos and communities.
This 90-minute curriculum offers a culturally rooted, healing-centered self-defense workshop designed for trained Xinachtli facilitators to implement within their círculos and community. Grounded in empowerment and collective care, the curriculum equips youth, women, and gender-expansive folks with practical skills to reclaim safety and voice in honor of the MMIWGR movement.
Participants are guided through three core skill areas:
Awareness: Strengthening intuition and environmental awareness to recognize potential danger early.
Assertiveness: Practicing boundary-setting and using voice as a powerful self-protection tool.
