About the event
Join us for KLBRI’s Día de Muertos series, Ofrendas y Rituales, a sacred gathering of remembrance, creativity, and community. Together, we’ll honor our ancestors and loved ones through hands-on altar-making, drop-in ofrenda crafts, and the chance to decorate your own catrina de barro — each offering a way to reconnect with tradition and spirit.
During our Altar-Building Offering:
Join us for a healing and creative evening where we’ll explore how to weave Día de Muertos traditions back into our lives, especially when these practices may have been disrupted through colonization, migration, and cultural loss.
Together, we’ll reflect on what remembrance means for each of us — honoring our ancestors, loved ones, and the stories that shaped us. Participants will decorate their own ofrenda frame keepsake and learn how to build a Día de Muertos altar that feels authentic and personal, whether at home, in community, or in spirit.
This workshop invites gentle conversation,…
