About
Paula is an out and proud mixed race, gender fluid, lesbian and native of South-Central Los Angeles. They are a Queer Affirming Licensed Marriage and Family with a focus on providing services to Multi-Race, Black, Indigenous, People of Color and/or LGBTQIA+ individuals. They combine their 20+ years as a volunteer community counselor with eastern practices of breathwork, meditation, and psychotherapeutic techniques to help individuals heal trauma and build resilience. As a co-founder of a mental health education group, Paula has extensive experience in mental health education and curriculum building. They have taught numerous workshops on somatic healing, trauma, resilience, building and sustaining equitable environments, breathwork,
and compassion fatigue all in service of those within the healing professions; education, academia, and healers.
