XINACHTLI RITES OF PASSAGE
FOR FACILITATORS
Xinachtli (Nahuatl for germinating seed) is a gender-responsive, culturally-based rites of passage philosophy, process, and intergenerational curriculum that promotes healing, resilience,
and leadership capacity of Chicana, Latina and Indigenous youth.
For more information on Xinachtli Youth Rites of Passage visit www.xinachtligirls.com.
KLBRI x Xinachtli aims to build capacity for effective implementation of Xinachtli by offering the Xinachtli curriculum to trained facilitators to guide them on their own healing journey. Through this, we will uplift the facilitator's capacity to promote healing and restoration for themselves, interpersonally,
in their organizations, and in their communities.

In partnership with Xinachtli curriculum author, Sara Haskie- Mendoza,
KLBRI has adapted the Xinachtli curriculum to offer an opportunity for facilitators to
heal and transform as they embark on their own journey as guerrerxs working with our
youth and their communities. KLBRI's Xinachtli Rites of Passage program is a
12-week healing-centered leadership development series offering.
Our inaugural pilot series will begin March 21st, 2022.
We have created an Organizational Letter and Fact Sheet to support facilitators
in getting their registration sponsored by their organization.
