About

Itzpapalotl Patino is an indigenous jewelry designer, traditional yoga and Yok’Ha Maya and meditation instructor and collector of vintage and antiques. Throughout her life, her career has taken many paths working in medical billing, managing the E-collectibles department at Goodwill, as well as her self-entrepreneurship path.  She is passionate about work that can bring joy to her community and most importantly to herself. As a Public Health Americorps Fellow at KLBRI, Itzpapalotl will be supporting community health projects that will benefit Latinx and Indigenous youth and social justice leaders. Itzpapalotl is also a certified Xinachtli Rites of Passage facilitator and hopes to facilitate youth circulos where youth can be exposed to traditional musical instruments and danza azteca. During her free time, she is dedicated to Danza Azteca, yoga and learning to be a proficient drummer of the ancient Huehuetl drum.
